During the company's earnings call with Wall Street analysts later Monday, executives said that the EEOC investigation was now behind them and would no longer be a distraction. "Because of limited resources, we cannot file a lawsuit in every case where we find discrimination," the EEOC explains on its website. It's unclear if the question of whether to sue Bowlero made it to a vote with the EEOC's commissioners. He told CNBC he plans to sue Bowlero for $80 million, plus legal fees. Real Madrid wins record-extending 36th La Liga title

CNN —Real Madrid sealed a record-extending 36th La Liga title on Saturday after rival Barcelona suffered a second-half collapse against Girona, succumbing to a 4-2 defeat which ensured that Los Blancos cannot be overtaken at the top of the table. Such has been Real Madrid’s dominance in the league this season that a 36th title has seemed almost assured for a while now. Goals from Brahim Díaz, Joselu and, of course, Jude Bellingham propelled Real Madrid to its decisive win against Cádiz on Saturday. “I’d be lying to you if I told you that when I was little I didn’t dream of winning a La Liga as captain,” Real Madrid captain Nacho told his club’s website, after winning his fourth league title. For a club that has won as many trophies as Real Madrid, winning the league represents only a job half-done - it is winning in Europe that truly counts.

The company, also known as Chabaidao or ChaPanda, had priced its shares at $17.50 Hong Kong dollars ($2.23) apiece, but they plunged as low as $10.80 Hong Kong dollars ($1.38) in the first two hours of trading on the Hong Kong stock exchange. Bubble tea (also called “black pearl tea” or “boba tea”) originated in Taiwan in the 1980s, but has since found millions of devotees around the world. In January, two of China’s most popular bubble tea brands, Mixue Group and Guming Holdings, applied for IPOs on Hong Kong’s stock exchange. CNN —House Speaker Mike Johnson is moving forward with a legislative package to provide aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan. Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has been beating the drums to vote Johnson, who is himself also an extreme right-wing Republican, out of office. When GOP House members adopted this lower threshold in exchange for accepting McCarthy, experts understood that the rule would create extreme instability within the Republican caucus. On July 28, 2015, Tea Party Republican Rep. Mark Meadows from North Carolina filed a motion to vacate but the House never voted on the resolution. The time of Republican speakership keeps shrinking as right-wing ousters have become increasingly common.

Six-figure hybrid job availability crashed nearly 70% while posts for in-person jobs nearly doubled, according to the Q4 2023 High Paying Jobs report from jobs platform Ladders. Higher income also made workers more likely to start looking for a new position that offers hybrid flexibility, the report states. This disconnect between what employers are offering and what highly paid workers want is causing tension in the return-to-office dance. "This is just an arrow in the quiver just in case and the ratings agencies like to see it," Berger told CNBC in an interview Thursday. When relatives come to visit, Mr. Lanter says jokingly, but only partly, they have to tour one at time. Each of these details amounts to something bigger, for Mr. Lanter’s life and the U.S. housing market: a house under $300,000, something increasingly hard to find. Mr. Lanter’s house could easily fit on a flatbed truck, and is dwarfed by the two-story suburban homes that prevail on the blocks around him. For Mr. Lanter and his neighbors, it’s a chance to hold on to ownership.

DENVER (AP) — Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes are closing in on adding Cincinnati Bengals secondary coach Robert Livingston as defensive coordinator, a person familiar with the decision told The Associated Press on Wednesday. The person spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the team has not finalized the hiring. Livingston is set to inherit a Colorado defense that surrendered 34.8 points and 453.3 yards per game in Sanders' first season in charge. Livingston started as a scout with the Bengals in 2012 before later joining their coaching staff. In Colorado, he would work with a secondary that includes Travis Hunter, a first-team All-Pac-12 defensive back who also plays wide receiver, and Shilo Sanders.
